Seniors Social Hub Club – Connection That Changes Lives
September 25, 2025

On August 1st, The People’s Bridge Advocacy opened the doors to something simple but powerful: a place for seniors to gather, laugh, move, and share stories. In just a short time, the Seniors Social Hub Club has quickly turned into a place where seniors can laugh, learn, and feel at home.

Every week, we’ve witnessed new friendships spark over coffee, neighbours learning together in wellness workshops, and quiet moments where someone who felt alone realized they belonged. These moments matter. They remind us that wellness isn’t only about health, it’s about being connected and knowing you belong.

Thanks to support from Employment and Social Development Canada, we’ve been able to get this program off the ground. But to keep it going strong, we’ll need continued support so the Hub can remain a free, welcoming space for everyone who needs it.

What Happens at the Hub

Each week we gather for activities that are simple but powerful in what they do for body and mind:Wellness workshops for healthy living

  • Light movement and fitness to stay active

  • Games and activities that keep the mind sharp

  • Snacks and refreshments that spark conversation

  • Information sessions on mental health, aging well, and community resources

And while the Hub is designed with seniors in mind, we welcome people of all ages to join in. It’s about sharing time, stories, and support across generations.

When & Where

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00–3:00 PM
  • Confederation Mall, near the Food Court
  • Free to attend

How You Can Help

The Social Hub is built by the community, for the community. Volunteers play a huge role in making sure everyone feels welcome and cared for. If you’d like to lend a hand—even just a couple hours a week—we’d love to have you. Reach us at people@peoplebridge.ca.
